Insecurity is a gift.
Let me explain. Just bear with me 🧸 🍺
You have to start somewhere.
It really doesn’t matter if the result is shite.
What matters is beginning that new journey.
Most people are so afraid to pursue their passion and try something new and build a career out of it, because…
They don’t know where to begin.
They’re afraid of being judged.
They’re just not good enough.
You know what?
I feel like I’m not good enough all the time.
EVEN AFTER BEING AWARD WINNING
So learn to embrace your own insecurities and use them as a tool to drive yourself to excellence.
Of course you’ll never get there because you’ll keep raising the bar.
But you’ll keep improving.
I started my voice over journey by recording my first audiobook for Christopher Patterson.
It was 100,000 words and took me 6 months to complete.
It was so bad I recorded it again, which took another few months.
But that taught me about acting and getting into character, how to compose music and how to tell a story.
And now, I’m onto his 4th book.
A whopping 140,000 words.
So use the gift of insecurity. It is the greatest gift that keeps on giving once you embrace it.
Bring it on.
